What happened to Dubya? I saw a bit of Friedman's global warming schtick on PBS. I think it's a rerun but, at any rate, he noted that Texas has made a big investment in wind power because of legislation passed by...Dubya. He also covered Whitman's shock and surprise when Dubya pulled out of Kyoto even while she was at the negotiations. He had 'out-greened' Gore during the campaign and then reversed course completely once in office. What happened to Dubya on the way to Washington? Not only did his ability to speak go awry but so did his ability to do good...at least on occasion.
