Re: brokers. What I'd love to see is the ability put your funds on deposit at a central clearing house to which ALL brokers subscribe so that we could choose any broker for any trade. It would work like VISA or MASTERCARD does as a service to clear transactions between merchants and banks, only this would clear trades and positions between brokers and a central bank/clearing house. Require brokers to commit all available shares for borrowing to a central inventory. If shares are available anywhere, they are available to any trade. Just dreaming....
