Licensees include TI, Sony, Fujifilm, Symbios, and Adaptec. Howard Lee, Apple's Development VP, has stated that Apple will support IEEE 1394 via PCI adapters at the end of 1996 and will support IEEE 1394 on motherboards by the end of 1997. --- While others certainly helped develop firewire - Apple certainly owns it.
