The phony soldiers in Bush's TV ad are a perfect metaphor for Bush himself, aren't they? In order to pretend to be the macho man when in fact he went AWOL when it was his turn, his people have to create a fantasy effect of walls of soldiers behind him. Meanwhile the real war hero and proven military man Kerry is smeared by Bush's demonic denizens working for Texas special interests and far rightwing political groups as being "weak on defense". Bush's campaign is one big lie.
