ALT (Another Biotech on the ASE.<g>)Is up 20.20% on volume of 226.6 K (already almost 4x its daily average) as the stock is trying to get over its Nov.1 H of 2.45 <g> The company has scheduled a C.C. for 2PM today and it has already announced positive results from a preliminary analysis of the Phase IIa DIAMOND trial of its ALT-711 in DHF. (The DIAMOND trial is still been continued.) According to the preliminary results, patients who received ALT-711 for 16 wks had a statistically significant reduction in LVM (This preliminary analysis involved only the first 17 patients in the DIAMOND trial <g>) There were also other benefits as the patients showed a marked improvement in Lft. VDF and reported improvement in their quality of life on a questionnaire. ALT-711 is reportedly a novel therapy for DHF as it targets the hardening of the walls of the heart and arteries caused by "pathological glucose-protein matrixes". Will see in another hour if it can get over the resistance at 2.45 <g> siliconinvestor.com The stock has to get over its Nov.
