Too bad the Democrats won't be able to pull it off, but this is a good opportunity to build a new party by getting some limelight and build some core ideals. The ideal to build on is duplicitous politicians and corruption. So when a senator uses this particular talking point, flood the blogs, write letters to the editors of newspapers. The key point is that when a senator is questioned about The Bug's ethics and the senator goes "Look! Behind that tree!", that senator is obviously under DeLay's control. He was bought, or there is some dirt that DeLay has on him, possibly pictures of the senator and farm animals or something. Most likely wads of cash, but...
Get a website with a "Bug Watch Report", detailing senators and this talking point, along with any others that pop up. Statistical analyses of the question "what about DeLay's ethics?" and the phrases that follow, looking for commonly agreed upon phrasing. If there is enough attention brought to this, the senators and representatives are going to start rebelling. That will only cause our favorite bug sprayer to turn to harsher means of influence. At some point, it will go to the point of exchanging nukes, and that is when all of this back room wheeling and dealing will start to really come out in the open. Which allows the whole lying and dealing of the politicians to get get people really angry... |
