Got me, FNM is tough to get a handle on. Do they want higher rates and slower mortgage market but have their hedges working or do they want lower rates and hotter mortgage market and losing hedges? Do they win either way? What kind of company are they anyway, a mortgage company or LTCM style hedgers? Kinda makes you go hmmmmmmm.....
