(NEWSER) – Have an active sex life? You're probably earning more money than people who think beds are for sleeping, according to a new study. A close look at 7,500 people in Greece, aged 26 to 50, shows that those having sex at least four times a week earn 5% more on the job than those who aren't, CBS News reports. And people having no sex earn 3.2% less than those who are. "It seems that we have to consider jointly the relations between happiness, sexual activity, productivity and wages," says study author Nick Drydakis.

The research echoes other studies that link sexual activity to extroversion and general health, and good health to better wages. But the new study doesn't find that sex leads to money—in fact, higher earners may appear more attractive or be able to afford gifts that are "thanked for via sex," writes Drydakis. Still, he seems to believe that sexual health leads to good things: "Sexual activity is a key aspect of personal health and social welfare that influences individuals across their life span," he writes.
