This is a good illustration of how modern bad guys enjoy the asymmetry in violence - and are able to play the system. Those "youths" didn't threaten to bring those police officers to "justice" - no, they shot them with live ammunition, with real bullets, and in cold blood. In return for that crime, they find themselves under a threat of having to enter the the judicial system, with lawyers and judges, and - if convicted - they may have to spend a lot of time not getting laid and watching color television.

Well, that's how it is, and I hope it works. If it doesn't, things will change. Western civilizations didn't come to dominate the world only on the account of their smarts and civility. "Youths" should be aware that, when circumstances called for it, it was a French Doc who invented the Guillotine.
