Missouri voter ID law struck down

A state judge has just struck down Missouri's voter ID law, which required a photo ID to vote, because such IDs aren't 100% free. Kelly Wiese of the Associated Press reports:

<<< A judge struck down Missouri's new voter identification law Thursday as an unconstitutional infringement on the right to vote.

The law required voters to show a federal or Missouri-issued photo ID at the polls, which Cole County Circuit Judge Richard Callahan said was an unconstitutional burden on voters because the paperwork required to get those IDs is not free.

Callahan said the requirement is a particular burden to women and the poor. >>>


Read the rest at the link below. This is a big boost to Democrats, as their chances are enhanced for more voter fraud in the St. Louis area. A photo ID would have slowed those efforts down.
