fuchi and steve, what a bummer! I thought i was doing myself a favor by using a peltier cooler (cost me $40). I have to admit, it generates a great deal of heat itself. by the way, i am using heatsink compound. I did not want to even boot the system without it. I'll go back to a high quality fan that Brian Davis recommends from his cyrix upgrade site. Fuchi, you're right, the heatsink link is very interesting, i recommend everyone review it before they purchase a fan/heatsink or peltier cooler. any comment on the powerleap adapter idea? 2.9V would be nice but i don't know if it's worth it (another $50). thanks again, steve h
