DELL DIARY 2/18/99...the few days after... $83 up $1.4375 on 33 million shares....still pondering. Now, news seem to suggest that it is considering the sub market! Why not? So, what if it said it was not thinking about it? Who cares? Sure, it probably means that they and INTC migh have underestimated the demand for the subs but who am I to guess right? Hmm..bottom line joe bob does not really know if the box is powered by AMD or Intel...pricing is the key. If DELL, who has an excellent system, decides to go after that market with INTCs' help (now that it SHOULD be pissed off that AMD has GTW, CPQ, etc..installing them Kchips), the next few qtrs. should prove to be interesting....Management, again, being put to the test......no more excuses right?
