Dust everywhere. Brushing the cobwebs on NTCT. If you have street.com. Gary B. Smith does a little analysis on it. Can't post the chart on SI due technical difficulties. Unfortunately this is a premium story, so only subscribers can access this link.

Y2K Means Down Day Is Coming
Gary:

Could you give me a read on NetScout Systems (NTCT:Nasdaq). Also, as a technician, are you planning any changes in your trading style for Y2K? Do you expect a selloff sometime between now and the New Year? Thanks,

Jonathan Lachnit

Jonathan, I am not planning any big changes for Y2K. That said, I'm constantly tinkering with my method, especially in the area of money management.

As for a selloff between now and New Year's, I do expect there will be a big down day. Maybe a huge down day. Why? Oh, call it gut feel.

Gary's talking about the market, not NTCT.

Described the NTST move up in Sept as a big runup. Oct-Dec is consolidation. Feels there will be a breakout, but not sure which way it will be. He says to look for big volume with big price change and be ready to act.
