It's always dirty business in the Challenger series. Take no chance of damaging the boat when you're already guaranteed a spot, they are a one boat syndicate. Now there are also the politics of knocking off a challenger from your own country. The object is to win the mug and bring the series to your backyard. If someone from you country wins it you can't bring it to your backyard until they lose it to another country and we all know how long a wait that can be. I didn't know what cuthroat meant until I started following this stuff years ago!
