Hi Ed,
I was fun to check this issue out and rather easy thanks to the wonderfull tools that we have here on the internet. When I was 30 years younger I tried the stock market and lost my money on all the scams that were out there. No internet back then, so we are very fortunate, and no longer will we buy scam stocks. This year with Intel and full margin ahead my portfolio is up 170% since Jan 1st.

This stock IMES must be a formidable opponent to Intel, but I have never heard of it and 80% of my portfolio is in Intel!
Let me post the article that I found using yahoo search for "international meta systems" You must use the quotes for the search. This is what I found and read in detail the 10-15 lines bracketed with $signs:

International Meta Systems, Inc. Receives U.S. Patent.

EL SEGUNDO, Calif., Dec. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- International Meta Systems Inc , a
microprocessor chip design company, today announced that it was awarded a U.S. Patent for RISC
(reduced instruction set) computer architecture. This unique design is capable of interpreting the
microcode and executing the instruction sets for the Intel 80x86 (Pentium(TM)-486), the Motorola
680x0 (Apple Macintosh (TM)) or the MIPS R3000 processors. This flexible method of
interpreting and emulating the design of various instruction sets has potential application for the
development of future RISC processors with microcode execution such as Pentium(TM) compatible
products. (U.S. 5,574,927)

This award is a substantive illustration of the intellectual capability of IMS staff. The patent is very
broad, granting 25 separate claims that are foundational in the development of future IMS products.
"This achievement provides direct evidence that IMS is capable of developing competitive
Pentium(TM) designs utilizing proprietary technology," stated George W. Smith, President and CEO
of International Meta Systems. "The claims that were granted protect significant technology that is
integral to the design of the Meta 6000 and JAVA microprocessors."

This patent protects the IMS architecture used to emulate the Pentium(TM) and Apple computers. It
also protects the distinction of the Meta Expresso chip for directly executing JAVA byte codes
faster than competitive designs.

IMS is currently finalizing the circuit design and chip layout of the Meta 6000. This chip will be a
fully custom socket-compatible version of the Intel Pentium with processing speed targeted to the
equivalent of approximately a 275 megahertz Pentium chip. The design includes multimedia (MMX)
instructions that enable processing of video and audio two to four times faster than an equivalent
microprocessor without MMX technologies. The expected "on-chip" MMX performance of the
Meta 6000 will be 30 percent more powerful than Intel's P55C MMX, on a clock-for-clock basis.

International Meta Systems, Inc. is a microprocessor chip design company headquartered in El
Segundo, California with a design center located in Austin, Texas. The Company designs and
develops X86 and JAVA microprocessor chips, focusing on ways to raise the performance and
functionality of industry-standard microprocessors in a cost effective manner.

This is carl: If there was any possibility of them becoming a competitor to Intel I can assure you that we would know about it.
You should also go to barron's online and check it out. Try:

It becomes clear that the amount of stock traded since the later part of September has increased greatly. I appears that the insiders 2 year holding period has expired, and that they are free to sell their stocks. The big product of scam companies is for the insiders to unload their stock to investors. If SEC did their job, they would disallow insiders to unload their stock until the companies that they represent make profits for investors.
How does a company sell their stock? You use the PR newswire and you talk the stock up. I put this stock in the same catagory as ATCO, CAVR, SEXI, PTSC, NCII. You may want to use a contratian viewpoint to Elizabeth Smallfelt as she tends to look at things thru rose-colored glasses.
greedy, but humble carl
