Robert, Found the news article. The article says that Siskon has reduced the carrying value of its San Juan Mine by 10.3 million in the fourth quarter of 96 because of the higher than expected operating costs and a decline in gold prices. Tim Callaway seems to think that this is the best route for future developments. The news article also states that the mine has produced 16034 ounces of gold to date. Through the first nine monthes they had produced 9239 ounces so for the last quarter they produced 6795 ounces. Production levels are on the rise.

While looking for this news I saw another headline on Reuters that SISK had turned profitable. No fact because when I tried to get the article I was refused entry and I cannot find this article anywhere else! It was dated late Feb 97. Has anybody else seen this?
