A bit of a progress update. I got tied up quite a while this morning in non-programming endeavors, but am back on the case. Folder_Links on the Dev site is now about 2.6M rows rather than the 19.7M in Oracle. Still waiting for the Oracle guru to give me the all-clear to run the same trimming routines on the Oracle version so I can start importing folder_links along with everything else in the routine that updates things every 10 minutes. Most of my work today has been relatively trivial stuff dealing with the display of messages. Correcting embedded SI urls, trimming trailing carriage returns, etc. Also, the date of the latest post for each subject is now being updated in the database so when you browse boards under the "Message Boards" button, you'll see accurate dates, as of the last import. Most of yesterday was spent trimming down the Dev version's copy of folder_links. I want to go back to work on the Search function but am holding off until I get more message-reading work done. There's still a LOT to do there.
