to a shift in the sales mix toward higher-margin power conversion products
and improved gross margins.

Ault expects improved sales in the third quarter, with net income roughly
comparable to the year-earlier period.

The company reported earnings of $620,000, or 15 cents a share, on sales
of $10.6 million for the third quarter ended March 2, 1997.
