That's another solution - volunteer politicians, like it used to be, and only 3 months per year of meetings. The less they meet, the less damage is done to the country.

Air conditioning is said to be the start of the decline of politics, since DC was uninhabitable during the summer.

Now, however, the best solution is "THROW OUT THE BUMS ON A REGULAR BASIS". Since they won't do that themselves, we will make much more use of the following:

- IMPEACHMENT
- FIRE AND REMOVE BY FORCE
- RECALL

depending on the particular office. The more the merrier. Any average citizen can do a better and less corrupt job than the self-interested crop that is in there now.

Eventually, we'll clean it up enough that decent honest folks, who either have their own money or who are dedicated to public service anyway, will actually get into the race.
