I am somehow naive enough to think the entire college athletic system is going to collapse of its own economic weight. Student fees just keep going up to support it while state support of the state schools is shrinking and raising tuition for students who are actually going there to get an education and paying for it, who resent more and more having to "carry' the jocks" who are just there to play ball.

One can hope.
