Dear Fred, if that is your name, I wanted you to know this story. It was the only truly hopeless situation I gave up praying for. Why? I don't know, I guess being a woman and knowing this precious sister like I did, I just figured she would never, never come back.
That is what my dear brother's life was all about--his family. He was absolutely one of the most involved, dedicated fathers I have ever seen. Almost uniquely so. So for that reason, this whole thing was utterly impossible to believe, and his wife always told me he was almost a perfect husband in every way, and she was very sorry, and all. But she got so nuts with her backslidding I just never believed she was coming back. I think she also was smoking a lot of dope with this guy, which of course is not this realm, but another, and not a good one for sure.
I just didn't feel like using their real names without asking them. But it is only one man I speak of Jim, who is Bill. He would probably love to tell you how really bad his story is because I only saw a portion of it.
But I think it is an example of things changing that you should know about, and I believe the Lord would have me share the skeleton of the horror of the story with you for obvious reasons.
There are few things that upset the human soul more than the loss of money, especially if it is ours and we made it the hard way by working for it. My prayers go out to you in such loss, and truly it is hard to just forget, and now one of our most PRECIOUS gifts of all--sight--is messed up, and we will just have to continue to pray through this. It is always darkest right before the dawn, and that's a fact.
If all you have left is faith and prayer, then that is where you are going to have to begin for God to help you turn it around. But you must have faith that He will and can. Please get back in the word. Faith comes by hearing....hearing what? The Word of God.
In the beginning was the Word.
And the Word was made flesh and dwelled among us.
Jesus is the Word.
All you need for a possession is your Bible.
