MSU Corporation Announces Management Re-Alignment; Change in Responsibilities Reflects Growth Opportunities; Two New Members Join Board MILTON KEYNES, England, Nov. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- MSU Corporation (OTC Bulletin Board: MUCP - news), a designer and developer of computer chips and chipsets principally for use in high-volume consumer electronics products, including its low-cost Web-to-TV system, Web2u, reported today management changes to position MSU for future growth.
Mr. Darran H. Evans has been appointed Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Board of Directors effective immediately. Mr. Evans background includes senior positions at Midland Bank Group and Thomas Cook Group where he became Director of the UK Foreign Exchange Business. Most recently, he headed the Swalec branded electricity business of the Hyder Group as it entered the newly competitive UK energy market. Mr. Evans holds an M.B.A. from Harvard University and a BSc. from Loughborough University.
Additionally, Mr. Wyn Holloway has resigned as Chairman of MSU Corporation, but remains as a member of the Board. Mr. Holloway has accepted the position of Director, New Product Development, reporting to Mr. Evans. As part of his responsibilities, Mr. Holloway will utilize his extensive technology experience and innovative skills to lead existing development programs as well as new initiatives.
Mr. Holloway has been succeeded as Chairman on a temporary basis by Mr. Jeremy M. Simpson. Mr. Simpson has served as a Board Director and Deputy Chairman since July 1997.
MSU also announced that Messrs. Jeffrey N. Green and Stephen W. Coles have joined the Board of Directors. Mr. Green is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Paradigm Capital, Inc. which is a Toronto, Ontario-based investment company focused on the telecommunications, technology, industrial technology and niche brand areas. Formerly, he was Chairman and Managing Partner of Gordon Capital, a major investment dealer in Canada until its purchase by HSBC Securities. Mr. Coles is an attorney with and Director of Brinkley Walser PLLC in North Carolina, and specializes in corporate law. Messrs. Green and Coles provide more depth and add an American presence to the Board, reflecting the importance of international markets to the success of MSU. The Board now is comprised of seven members.
