Not surprising. The Iraqi Government is not going to have female cops or soldiers. We were pushing them too far. From Iraq Intsum on 12 December 2007 Michael Yon The Iraqi government has ordered all policewomen to hand in their guns for redistribution to men or face having their pay withheld. In 2004 when US trainers started recruiting women for the IPS there were hundreds of applicants and in February of 2006 when responsibility for recruitment and training was handed over to Iraqi authorities the number of women applying dropped to zero.
