I always have believed the second paragraph.
The first hit me like a brick. It reminded me of something someone said to me a long time ago,"Why do you always expect it to be a better place for YOU? If you are wiser than they, then maybe it is YOU that is needed to make it a better place for THEM. And if you find that this is not true, and they can make it better for you, is this something to be afraid of? What will happen?"
Coincidentally, I have been dealing with (or trying to avoid) similar questions recently to what your post addressed. For the first time in years I attended a spiritual gathering today. Then I come home and read your post. Thanks for helping to reinforce for me the obvious answers I was trying to avoid.
This message board is a church in a sense. Electrons are free, but none offered with good intent are wasted.
