Bob, Did you get your network to work with Netbeui? Seems a lot safer to me to share files over a non routable protocol. Doesn't the router have a built in firewall? I don't know as much as I should about these security issues. I have a Netgear ISDN router, and use Netbeui. It's worked well for me. I've avoided setting up a firewall in addition to the these measures to avoid conflicts with the many live feeds I have going during trading hours. I'm not saying this is a smart thing to do. So far it has worked for me. If I was using TCP/IP for file sharing I would add a firewall and the complexity it brings. It's the main reason I worked so hard to get Netbeui to work despite Microsoft's reluctance to let me. Esteban
