Hey Tony,
I am sick. Like you I am an oldtimer and taking losses is understandable but this carnage is not. I really believe the election uncertainty is what caused the decline in LSI and ORCL last week for these stupid reasons. What we have is an absence of any buying on any and all declines. This year 2500 may become last years 5000 at the extremes. Actually I am beginning to hope that 2500 holds. Has the market ever been this oversold. Come on Fla supreme court--say something. Come on Israel and Arafat get back to the table. Come on Greenspan, do you really want the last piece of your legacy to be an end to the expansion due the effects of higher interest rates to fight no more than a one point increase in inflation.
