<< Del, excuse my ignorance, but is pico de gallo very different from salsa? >>

Not really. My son calls my stuff salsa, but pico de gallo sounds more impressive. I chop the tomatoes by hand, or they are too mushy for me. I do about 2 parts tomato to 1 part yellow onion, add chopped cilantro, a little minced garlic, juice from 1 lime, and a little salt and sugar. Call it what you like, I love the stuff, and I think it is actually good for the body. The only downside is the salsa flavored chips that I use in great quantities to dip the stuff.
