FutureSource Announces Plans to Support Omega Research's TradeStation 2000i with its Institutional Quality Futures and Options Data on Stand-Alone Terminals and Networks
LOMBARD, Ill.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 24, 1999--FutureSource Information Systems, Inc. announced today that it has signed a definitive agreement with Omega Research, Inc, (NASDAQ: OMGA) to work together to launch a version of TradeStation(R) 2000i that supports the FutureSource institutional quality real-time futures and options datafeed. FutureSource will be the first firm, other than Bridge Telerate, to offer a real-time futures and options datafeed that supports TradeStation via a stand-alone terminal, as well as a network environment.
The two firms have signed an agreement that will deliver the award-winning TradeStation charting, analysis, and system testing software to customers looking for the premium quality of data and professional level of service that FutureSource is known for in the futures industry. TradeStation enables investors to historically test the profitability of their own investment strategies and then computer-automate those strategies to generate real-time buy and sell signals. FutureSource is recognized by traders around the world as the leading provider of quality futures and options data, and is considered the "professionals' choice."

FutureSource estimates that the release of the software supporting FutureSource data is expected mid-year, and will be launched as a stand-alone, as well as a networked system, simultaneously. FutureSource has also confirmed that the agreement provides for a Year 2000 software upgrade to be produced for those customers currently running on TradeStation's 4.0 version that supports FutureSource data. This upgrade is also expected mid-year.
