Parents, Human beings, have always wanted to self select. Daddy wants a junior, a chip off the old block, that will carry on. Executives are known to self select when hiring new employees, someone who reminds them of what they were like (or would like to think they were) at a younger time. Affirmative action put a damper on that by showing the good ole' boys they had to diversify ... that is until the mean new girls arrived and began selecting their kind.

Nature forbids self selection by a mixing up of the gene pool but we are battling to prove we can successfully clone our selves. I suppose the joke will be on the man who produces the first successful clone and he turns out to have a different sexual orientation or something.
