This ultrasound showed no problem with the cysts, but it did pick up what may be a tumor in one of my kidneys, and I am now scheduled for an MRI next week.

With a grudging admission from my Kaiser Doctor that the EBT scanner was responsible for finding the problem, he told me that the results of my MRI last Tuesday did confirm a golf ball size Renal tumor in my left kidney. These are slow-growing so there is no huge rush to cut. I will see the Surgical people in the next couple of weeks and set up for the operation.

The odds are only one in four that it's benign, but since I have caught it before I have any symptoms, the odds are pretty good and taking out part or all of that kidney will solve the problem.

If I hadn't ordered a body scan when I got a heart scan I would never have found this tumor until I had symptoms. And by that time, you usually have about a year to live. Catching it now means that it probably won't affect my life span.

I will post the results here as I go along. But I can't repeat enough, GET A BODY SCAN, PEOPLE!!!!
