At the rate it is going, we won't have a viable middle class before too much longer. We already show all the negative symptoms of a shrinking middle class, crime rate, teenage pregnancies, violent crime, bad parts of town, etc. We seem hell bent on realizing the landscape of cyber punk. While I enjoy reading WIlliam Gibson and Bruce Sterling, I damn sure don't want to live in their worlds...
