Eric, Anything that can be made can be copied. So piracy of zip disk is certainly
possible. However, IOMG has the foresight to include a patented optical sensor
on zip drive and optical element on each Zip disk. So only zip disks will work
on zip drive. You can see the optical element on Zip disk by sliding the protective
cover over. I do not know how difficult it is to copy the Zip optical sensor/element
combo. But, unlike CD, it should be much easier to distinguish between pirated
copies and authentic zip disks.
