I'm officially retired as a weather man.
I was wrong.
We got clobbered with snow and it's still coming down hard.

Snow blowed twice through some thick stuff. Once again it
looks like I never went out there.

Had a bit of a plumbing problem today in the house.

The boys were playing outside. They had the garage door
open for a long period of time. Then I went out and left
the garage door open as usual, also. Well apparently it was
too cold for the drain pipe for the slop sink in the
garage. It froze and then to add to that problem, my water
softener (because we use well water) began its cleaning
cycle. I walked back into the garage hearing water
splashing on the floor. Luckily I got it in time. It
would have been a real mess otherwise.
A little bit of water seeped under the wall into the boiler
room but none got under the basement carpeting.
The water all over the garage froze. I'll have to clean it
tomorrow after it's melted.

I defrosted the drain pipe with a hair dryer. Then I
noticed the other pipes in the garage were frozen too.
Hopefully there are no further problems.
