*Sorta OT*: The AMAT cutback was the lead news story tonight on San Francisco's KRON TV (6pm news). They even got the story just about right, calling AMAT a chip equipment maker! Shocking! No additional news except they reported that the downturn was expected to last 2 more years and that job losses in SV are starting to outstrip new hires. F.
