Mutual fund managers in healthcare and biotech industries cannot easily predict which company is going to be big in next 5 years. Therefore, diversification is a good practice. It is quite possible that some mutual funds were involved in Friday's activity. But it is more likely that some will put the GERON egg in their basket when things cool off a little. The next two days will be driven primarily by short-term trading activity.
