I agree that the announcement wasn't handled with the interests of small shareholders in mind. Announcing it after the close last night would have given time for those who have day jobs to evaluate the situation. Morning announcements obviously favor the large investor. Maybe John Hull of Intel will comment on this, or at least bring it to the attention of Mr. Grove or whoever is in charge of these announcements. It's obvious that several on this thread are unhappy. What do they have to lose by announcing after the close? BTW, Motley Fool suggests Intel's earnings will be between $1.54 and $1.97 for this quarter. Not bad growth from the $1.02 of last year!
