A bit OT O but since your on the subject I know something about that scanner stuff cause I own a piece of a company called NEOMEDIA technologies "neom.com"...neom has two guys from symbol who defected and got some basic patents for neom several years back for barcode reading with short bar codes called paperclick placed on print and some other good patents.....as a result Digital Convergence had to just anti up 7 million cash and promise royalties for years on their product and I expect airclic will have to do the same shortly.......Neom sec statements even refer to meetings in progress with the new company motorola/symbol/airclic ......it is unclear it the patents will hold for true barcodes or just the short version. I think symbol is in a good position right now as well as a safer play but not as much upside potential but no question scanning will be part of the picture not just voice. these scanlets are exactly the same as paperclick airclic.com check out all of symbols scanners...here is one I thought was cute ...fastfrog.com recently shut down I speculated perhaps pending agreement with neom symbol.com
