You really like pulling things out of nowhere don't you, or calling one thing another thing.

Guerilla attacks are a sustained offensive, $50K + insurance for and individual or for one member of a family which might also have other income doesn't suck is "$20k total income makes a family of four well off". and now "our spending in Iraq isn't going to sink a $14tril economy (said to someone who was comparing the US situation to the terminal decline of the Soviet Union) becomes "I am for incremental deficit spending."

Do you even recognize the dangers of the twin deficits?

Yes they are a problem and can cuase other problems but they aren't a disaster at this point and unless they get much worse they aren't going to sink the US.
