All of the above reflects a serious lack of knowledge of how the real estate industry operates, which isn't surprising, because you said these same things on this thread before and you received a somewhat educated response. Not about to do a seminar on this stuff again.....been there, done that, right on this thread.

Perhaps you need to do more reading--such as checking out the published opinions of such diverse people as Hillary Clinton and William Seidman on why banks shouldn't be in real estate.

Perhaps you should study the competitive structure and business models of the many different types of companies which are NAR members (including Zip, by the way!), and perhaps you should look up the definition of "cartel". You might also want to delve a little further into NAR's true positions on the issues you raised. Just some suggestions if you want to get educated and are actually interested in learning rather than complaining.

And by the way, most large real estate firms already have their listings (and the entire MLS inventory of other brokers) on their own websites.......why should they need to give away money to have listings posted on some other website which intends to "sell" the resulting customer inquiries back to the broker that listed the property?????? And ask yourself... will this save buyers and sellers any money in the end??? A little logic and a little more insight applied to these questions would go a long way toward resolving your complaints.
