Hiram, I have a Motorola Cybersufr.

I do sometimes have trouble with the proxy server, and will set my browser to go direct to the Internet. I guess the Netscape proxy server (they use all Netscape server software) is less than perfect..

I have never noticed any upstream problems. The speed is, of course, not as great as downstream, but still very fast compared to my old ISDN.

I may have had some noise-related problems early on - occasionally the "cable" light would go out and it would be 5-10 minutes before it would work again. Cox came out and discovered that the original installer had forgotten to install a low-pass filter. No problems since then.
