Yes, Father Terrence. The task of each individual to be his own god in his own universe is to be in CONTROL (god) of his LIFE (universe). John Galt understands the dynamic and intimate relationship with one's perceptions and with what is OUT THERE. Unless a rational approach is employed, one cannot succeed in this endeavor. As for heaven, John Galt likens this to ultimate truth or REALITY. The concept of heaven (and hell, and the promised land, etc...) have always been represented as a place OUT THERE TO GO TO. These concepts have been largely employed by the cavemen mostly as a political instrument to control others. The earth has become far to small for a 'promised land'.
