Ron,
If you speak with Hermann, ask him what the new stock will be trading at. My guess is it will trade at or near the present level of AAG. If VSY shareholders get 1.5 shares of the new co. for every share they now hold it only seems reasonable to me that that price will be close to reality. I only mention this because I have seen speculation (on the VSY forum)that it will trade at $1.15 or thereabouts after the merger. This might be misleading to some investors as they may think they can run out and buy shares and get instant appreciation. We all know nothing is free.
It seems as though AAG's most ardent shareholder (you!) is getting a bit upset about the company lately. I think you have made a good call on this one and we all are going to see a very reputable company emerge. I, for one, do not mind seeing slow but steady growth. I own several speculative stocks so for this to become a little more stable is not a disappointment to me.
I expect to see Hermann take a conservative approach to the management style and do not anticipate any wild swings in stock value. What is your read on this?
