Generally PC hardware does not have problems with Y2000. The software may. Large/Mainframe computer operating under Cobol will have most problems. Tandem already has a product solution for that. Digital probably has that too.

The software allows two digit for the year field. As a result all data file carries this. One need to fix the program as well as all data file that might be used. Generally you may or may not know where all that is in the file.
