Don, I find your theory about being in the middle of "the Big One" interesting. If the current slide continues, I think we could actually see a rise in the market after the FOMC meeting next week. Perhaps by the time we get there, the fed's move will already be priced in. Perhaps, at that point if they raise .25, and half the market expects .50, we could see a rally. It will be fun to find out! : ) Another though: AXC reminds me of part of the dialouge from Star Wars, "If you strike my price down now Darth Norman I shall become more profitable than you can possibly imagine."
