Did anyone get PAIR's '97 Annual Report? I got mine yesterday and was impressed with it. I felt that it presented a good overview of what PAIR has done, what they are doing and what they will do. Obviously, that's what all reports should do, but I thought they did it in a way that was easy to understand, and they really put forth a positive spin (IMO).
I like the paragraph entitled, "The Future". It says, "you should not put down this report without appreciating these vital points". It then goes on to list six things, among them:
1. Business is shifting, and shif is positive b/c it gives them a broader, more stable base for future revenue, cash and profit growth.
2. PAIR is an "enormously" successful company. Fundamentally strong, with large amounts of cash generated. Key markets are growing and they are leaders in those markets.
3. Successfully defended market share in spite of fierce competition last year.
4. Well positioned for near term growth (small subscriber products) and longer term growth (ADSL and DSLAM programs).
5. Forming partnerships with the "major players".
