I attended a briefing session recently where several CPQ execs were presenting. One of them had a DEC HiNote! I asked him why he had that instead of a CPQ laptop, he said he had purchased it himself 'to get an idea of DEC's product first hand'. He was nuts about it and I have to say it was a pretty nice toy - very thin and light (I think about 5 Lbs and maybe 1 1/2 inches thick) but with a 1024x768 true color display, built in CD, full multimedia, and I think a 233 MMX pentium. It will be interesting to see what an execution-driven company like CPQ can do with great products, like Alpha and the HiNote.
