the russell has been in a bear market for years. the valuations on the stocks have not this low in twenty-five years. And I LOVE the dividend yields. In the olden days you bought stocks for dividends.
The way to play the russell is the way they bought stocks back in the old bear market days: buy a chunk cheap and press "dividend reinvest" button. Let market churn. Accumulate.
Or buy a closed-end convertibles fund and reinvest the dividend.
