Elk, in response to your last post, for what it is worth here is my take.

I don't think the Telcos are ignoring this potential Mariah, but rather waiting for technology worthy of being of Telco quality. In other words it is my feeling that no one in the Internet Telephony arena has yet to emerge as a high quality leader.

Up till now many companies have embraced platforms that truly have not been proven. Such as H323 for instance. Possibly many of these IT hardware people have blindly followed the wrong path, just because MSFT/HWP/INTC have put their names on it. I'm not saying this is the case, but rather that it (the industry) is to young and unproven.

I remember not to many years ago IBM coming out with their EISA, and the industry trade magazines ranted and raved over all the marvelous benefits that would be derived.

I happen to come from the school of reamining open minded with a hint of "I'm from Missouri, show me" attitude. As of yet, not one of the other Internet telephony hardware producers have shown me a better clarity then what I have heard come out of the Tempest by FTEL.

Ever ask yourself "What is Franklin doing differently?"

That is why Franklin remains such a compelling speculation. Would if they are employing a different "way to the means" and it is embraced by the real Telco's?

As Vinnie would say "Forget bout it"
