Let's do a thought experiment and pretend Iraq IS all AQ's fault.

Are they geniuses? We must spend 100,000 times what they do, yet they have stymied us for FIVE YEARS now!

Are they wizard trainers? We've been trying to put together an Iraqi army that can take them on, and failing, for four years now.

Do they have the military assets to control Iraq? We've got close to 300,000 troops and support people in the country, not counting hundreds of thousands of Iraqi troops and policemen. You maintain the population support us, so we outnumber AQ 10,000 to one, easily! HOW can they have the success they've had?

Answer: It's NOT AQ that's the problem! It's the CIVIL WAR that's the problem. It's the IRAQIS THEMSELVES that are AND CAUSE the problem! They may want a country, but it isn't the one we want.
