The answer to your question is "no". The Constitution sets the tests required for a person to run for office. There is an age test. There is a citizenship test. What you are proposing is some kind of background test that would "disqualify" persons....right?

If that is your question....how much do we have a right to know before we allow anyone to run for office...then the answer is no.

Are you concerned about Palin (and her husband) being interested in, and in his case, a member of, a group that actively promotes secession from the U.S. Should Palin be disqualified from office for sleeping with a guy who was a member of such a group? <g>
